
It's not a myth that growing older makes you more forgetful, neither is it a myth that you need more sleep as you age nor is it untrue that you'll be more absent minded than ever. I used to remember numbers, no matter how arbitrary they were, without any problems and they would remain in my brain all the way up till late the next day. These days, even remembering which floor I'm supposed to head to is a small issue. Darn. That's why birthdays after the the quarter mark aren't worth celebrating; they are, ironically, a reminder of how much is to be forgotten as much as they are indicators of how much wiser we've become with the years we've clocked in our time on this planet.
